Randy Wheeler
Name: Randy Wheeler
Hometown: Baytown, TX
The "Old Duck Hunter", Randy Wheeler, started his hunting career in 1970 at the age of ten shooting squirrels in the piney woods of East Texas with his father. When he was a freshman in high school an upper classman asked him if he'd like to go dove hunting. Randy quickly learned that he enjoyed bird hunting much more than shooting bushy tails. That same year another upper classman invited Randy on a duck hunt. That was it; he was addicted to water fowling, and in 1982 he started guiding waterfowl hunters in the marshes and rice fields east of Houston. He now guides for the Garwood Hunting Club located southwest of Houston.
When Randy started his guiding career he was invited to be on the local Ducks Unlimited Committee in his hometown of Baytown, Texas. That did it, too. He's been a volunteer ever since. When he moved to West Houston he recruited some local hunters and together they founded the Bellaire Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. Randy has been an Area Chairman for two chapters, Zone Chairman for Harris County, and was co-chairman of the Texas Greenwing Committee. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Wetland Habitat Alliance of Texas. His thoughts on volunteering are: "if you take from it, you need to give back to it or there won't be any in the future for our kids".
He was a founding member of the Southeast Texas Chapter of the Friends of NRA, the Southeast Texas Hunting Retriever Club, and the newly formed Greater Houston Quail Coalition. Randy is the organizer and promoter of the Gulf Coast Waterfowl Festival & Expo and co-owner of TeamRealDuck waterfowl calling contests. Randy says his most memorable hunts through the years were always about kids shooting their first duck or goose. What a great feeling it is seeing those beaming smiles after the hunt. Knowing that memory will never fade in that child?s mind just as it hasn't for him as he remembers his first hunt. -

Cameron Pauli
Name: Cameron Pauli
Cameron grew up in south east Wisconsin and has been involved in the outdoors all his life. Growing up, Cameron's farther introduced him to the outdoors by taking him fishing, exploring local ponds for turtles and walking in the woods together. He credits his success to the help and encouragement of his father. During middle school, he discovered waterfowl hunting and has been dedicated to the lifestyle ever since. His best memories in the field include his sister shooting her first duck, filming his friends and family, talks in the blind and kayaking to his favorite spots in the early morning. Currently, Cameron is studying Environmental Science at Carroll University in Wisconsin, focusing on habitat restoration and management projects. While college eats up a lot of time and resources, he still takes advantage of every opportunity to get out onto the water. During his spare time, Cameron volunteers with the local DNR wildlife biologist. In the future he hopes to get more kids involved in waterfowl hunting and the outdoors in general. Besides running Waterfowl Fury Outdoors, Cameron also is on the pro staff for Rig'Em Right Waterfowl and Flambeau Outdoors, and field staff for Buck Gardner Calls and We Are Duck Hunters.
