Vernon Bradley - Calhoun, LA
Vernon was born in Tupelo ,Mississippi and began hunting and fishing 50+ years ago. He moved to Monroe, Louisiana and married Ashley in 1970. Vernon started waterfowl hunting over 40 years ago and has developed his hunting and calling skills ever since. Vernon has owned and operated hunting lodges and outfitting groups in North America, Canada and Argentina. Vernon is certified as shotgun, rifle, pistol, muzzle-loader, and archery instructor. He is also NRA certified as Instructor,in range design and operation. Vernon has served as Shooting Director for Camp T.L. James and works with the Boy Scouts of America. Vernon has served as Chairman of Friends of the NRA, Chairman of Ducks Unlimited Green Wings of North Louisiana and has worked with will over 1000 young shooters to improve their safety, shooting and hunting skills. Also conducts youth hunts each year. He is recognized among his peers as one of the more successful waterfowlers in the South. Vernon is also a turkey and predator hunter and an avid fisherman. He continues to work with the youth of the area after hunting season. Also after hunting season he spends time training his Labrador Retrievers. Vernon began using Flambeau decoys many years ago and now with the new Storm Fronts and UV paint he uses nothing else.He also helped evaluate the new line of Duck Calls with the Painted Lady and the Banded Lady being his favorites.
