Rhonda Calhoun - Early, TX


Rhonda was born and raised in California and moved to Texas in 1987. She is an enthusiastic mother and grandmother willing to give it her all. Hobbies besides archery include motorcycling, camping, softball, bowling water/snow skiing and even arm wrestling having a World Championship under her belt. Rhonda was introduced to archery by her husband Mark in 1998 at the age of 42. She managed to win her first title that same year and was hooked. Rhonda's first animal taken with a bow was a Texas Dahl Ram in 1999 thus begining her hunting career. She has been on the Mathews Pro Staff since 2004 , is a level II archery instructor and works hard to motivate youth in the outdoors. She coordinated the first NASP (Natnl Archery in the Schools Program) tournament in her home town of Brownwood, TX and believes that teaching youth is the best way of continuing the heritage of the sport of archery. She continues to travel across the US competing in tournament archery, hunting, and teaching kids. Rhonda is proof that you are never too young to learn something new!
